Amydrium zippelianum this odd aroid is from Asia and is in the Monsteroid group. It is often confused with other similar looking Philos or Monstera species and rarely do you see the true form offered. Leaves look like palm or fern leaves as it climbs up a totem or tree. The leaves can change as it matures to a more elongated segmented leaf. When juvenile it has small delicate leaves. It looks very elegant and prehistoric and has been a personal favorite of mine. I have not seen it in many collections. Though it is a fast and easy grower given it is kept warm and somewhat humid. Makes for a excellent house plant or additions to greenhouse or tropical garden. It should also be great for terrariums given that it does not mature but kept juvenile. The flowers are white in color and produce a large spath. Well rooted plants in 3 to 4 inch pots.
